During the 2017-18 academic year, we taught more than 15,000 students, ranging in age from 18-95 years old. Many of our students take multiple courses each year: in 2016-17, our 14K students accounted for more than 20,000 enrolments.

Students of the Department for Continuing Education come from more than 150 countries around the world. Many of our international students are studying on our online short courses; some are on postgraduate courses, particularly our Master’s and DPhil programmes, many of which are arranged for students who live at a distance from Oxford.
